Jason Cox of VINYL SEASON dropped some answers on me recently. Here's how it fell....

How did you guys get started?

Christian and Jason have been playing together for 5 years. They've been in many bands with other musicians.Of course, band names have changed through the years. At the time Micheal Emerson came in,they were looking for other musicians as well as a drummer. As you can hear, Micheal fit the bill.Micheal Rose came through a friend Jason worked with. The rest is history, I hope.

Who are some of your favorite bands?

Beatles, Rush, Police, Van Halen, Tool, Dream Theater, Stone Temple Pilots, Snow Patrol, Alice in Chains, and many more.

If you could tour with anyone, who would it be?

Rush or the Beatles

Any favorite foods / beverages?

We all like pizza , hamburgers, chicken(Did he say CHICKEN?!) and of course some booze here and there.

What are some of your favorite venues?

We want to play BLUECATS so bad, it's killing us! One of our favorites is Tate and Lyles performing Arts Center in loudon, Tn.Great place to play and an awesome stage! Winning the battle of the Bands there was so cool. We've entered so many and came so close. All of kinda knew in our minds, we were the best band , and the title was ours.I guess that sounds stuck-up, but trust me. Every one of us are really great people and above all great musicians.

Anything else you wanna add?

Thanks, Ron , for giving us the opportunity to do this.It feels really good to have someone from the outside looking in and really appreciate what we do. Local music, writing and performing your own songs is such a great feeling.Keep in touch and really looking forward to hearing from you again.

There ya go, kids. These guys have writing and performing skills that you need to see and hear.I can hear that 80's hard rock/metal edge in them along with tight song-writing skills that were honed by a Beatles influence.See these guys!
