Friday, Saturday, & Sunday....all spent at The Switchyard, attempting to put the finishing touches on this sonic document I've been writing for the better part of 3 years. Throughout this process, fORMER has had no less than 9 members and at least as many member changes due to some repeat offenders in the rank changes, and we've properly recorded some 20 or so songs with Mr. Saint-Leon, without mentioning the 40+ odd demoes I've recorded on my own for consideration & all the abandoned ideas tossed around in the rehearsal room. It's been a long road to get to this point, and it's funny that even now, I'm not entirely sure just where we are and what to do next. Honestly, I have no idea where we go from here. On Thursday, I'm going in to start final mixes, with Henry scheduled to join me later in the evening to cut the last of the backing vocals on the few tracks yet uncompleted. These vocals, and one 20 second keyboard lick, and we will have committed to tape(or whatever the kids are calling it these days)everything we need to call it a day on the tracking front. A few days of mixing and voila....done deal....the finished master. I've got a rough concept for the artwork that we threw around for a bit last night.....still need a cover; but first, a  title....and that's still up in the air.....then, so are alot of things right now. So, I guess we forge ahead, play these next few shows, finish the mixes, and try to get the damn thing out; one way or another. Again, the hows and whens of this proposition are not entirely clear at the moment, but such clarity is surely imminent. The plan was/is(?) September.....sooooo; fingers crossed, we're almost there.....almost.
